Melin Captures RRAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors
(9/22/2008) W Soccer Three-goal hat trick secures NU victory over College of St. Mary'sHelena Melin of Northwood University (Texas) stood out as the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Melin, a sophomore forward from Hulebackgymnaasiet, Sweden, posted a hat trick in a 5-0 victory over College of St. Mary (Kan.). She booted in three goals and chipped in an assist on a fourth goal as Northwood moved to 3-3-1 overall. Melin, who finishe. third in the NAIA in assists last year, has five goals and seven assists in the Lady Knights' seven games this season.
